As the Volunteer Services Specialist, your purpose is to ensure that the hungry and the homebound are cared for in our community. This meaningful position will allow you the opportunity to connect with community members and volunteers, feel accomplished with varied day-to-day responsibilities, and collaborate alongside a team of enthusiastic individuals.

Responsible for the oversight of three community-focused programs, which include: Meals on Wheels, Final Hours, and Lifeline. The Volunteer Services Specialist works closely with the volunteers who make these programs operable by providing basic communication and retention and complete required clerical maintenance and impeccable customer service. Some duties of this position include:

Meals on Wheels (MOW) program:

  • Welcome new clients to the MOW program
  • Oversight and retention of volunteers
  • Schedule weekly routes and assign volunteers to deliver meals
  • Maintain meal pick-up area
  • Ensure service agreement forms are completed, process prior authorization, and finalize billing information via HomeCare HomeBase

Final Hours program:

  • Prompt communication with hospice team and hospice families upon receipt of request
  • Oversight and retention of volunteers
  • Schedule volunteers Monday - Friday
  • Submits orders into HomeCare HomeBase

Lifeline program

  • Welcome new clients to Lifeline
  • Contribute to the promotion of Lifeline
  • Schedule Lifeline delivery, installation, and pick-up; covers shifts as necessary

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years related scheduling experience
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Current/Valid WI Drivers License; plus reliable/insured vehicle
Part-Time 32 hours/week.Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Friday 7:30am-1:30pm Wednesday 7:30am-4pm
